I participated in a webinar on the food and beverage industry and found it very interesting. Grocery retailers made big profits in 2020 due to the pandemic. And very few went down in business. However, they were so busy just doing business that M&A was on hold. More M&A is occurring at the manufacturer/distributer side as they update portfolios. Divestitures are big as are strategic acquisitions. Mars bought Kind Bars and Pepsi bought Rockstar energy drinks. Q4 202 and 2021 deals are ramping up!
Plant based foods and ‘good for you’ brands are hot. Does anyone know of other deals in progress?
