The Vietnam M&A Forum 2016 announced last night the winners of Vietnam’s top merger and acquisition deals. Christopher Kummer, president of the Institute of Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances in Switzerland, noted that M&A transactions in Vietnam are on the rise, which helped the country climb the ranks as an attractive M&A location worldwide, from 19th in 2015 to 15th in 2016.

“There is significant potential to spur Vietnamese M&A scene in the future,” he said.

According to Le Trong Minh, VIR’s editor-in-chief and head of the Organising Committee of the Vietnam M&A Forum 2016, the M&A awards celebrate the leading transactions and companies in Vietnam in an effort to encourage more M&A deals with even higher values.

“38 winners were chosen by an independent jury of top-notch experts from the more than 100 finalists. The quality of entries this year was outstanding and showed just how much the M&A market in Vietnam has matured,” he noted.
