The way integration is structured at my company is with a central Integration Management Office who PMOs the entire cross-functional integration. This team works closely with the deal / product teams who designed the high-level acquisition strategy. Each function (e.g., Marketing, Finance, HR, Client Services, etc.) has a point person who attends weekly calls providing updates and highlighting blockers. A lot of things go into each, and it is required that this person take a lot back to their functional stakeholders. My function Client Services, for example, is huge with many regional stakeholders that need to be made aware of certain things.
