The M&A programs I participated in at the IMAA were outstanding. The topics covered were diverse and universally valuable. From the “hard skills” of refining a discounted cash-flow analysis to the “soft skills” of post-merger integration, the program covers the critical elements of a successful M&A transaction. As a lawyer, I broadened my skillset beyond the mechanics of inking a deal — looking at deals more holistically and thinking about the practical implications of decisions and approaches. Kudos to everyone at IMAA for putting together an exceptional program.

As accountants and business advisors with clients who are business owners in a variety of industries and in various locations throughout the world, my business partners and I at Auxilium thought it would be beneficial for us to obtain more in-depth training in M&A. When we came across the M&A training offered by IMAA, we knew it would be a perfect fit for us. I enrolled in the International Mergers & Acquisitions Expert (IM&A) online program and successfully completed it in about 3 months. The online program was great as I was able to complete the modules at my own pace and really take time to absorb the content of the materials provided.  Overall, the IM&A program is an excellent overview of the entire M&A process, and it provides a practical and actionable framework for M&A advisors to follow. I highly recommend the IM&A program to anyone looking to enhance their expertise and status in the M&A world.

I took the program as I wanted to fill a gap in my skill set on the way to becoming a CFO. The live virtual classroom format was very easy and allowed for flexibility and a more diverse group of classmates. The program was thorough, and the presenters provided comprehensive information and resources. There was enough time for Q&A and interaction. The e-book library is also a great resource.

Before my CPMI certification, I participated in several integration efforts; however, the process didn’t feel very well organized, and I participated without fully understanding the drivers of the acquisition.  I felt like a better structure or roadmap had to exist to merge two companies more efficiently.  The CPMI training has equipped me with the framework to effectively implement an integration plan.  The instructors at IMAA are practitioners with real world experience who can relate to the variety of issues surrounding post-merger integration efforts.  This was a very worthwhile training that will add tremendous value to me as an executive and investor.

Knowing how critical integration is to the success of M&A and wanting to learn more, I embarked on a process to find a program that offered a wide selection of instructors with years of real-life experiences, a good selection of topics covered, and a professionally built portal for a virtual experience. IMAA was at the top of the list! The team was incredibly responsive during my selection process and helped make a decision to enroll a no brainer. The actual classes were even better than I anticipated. The instructors were able to offer real world examples and brought topics to life. The collaborative set up of learning through a case study offered an opportunity for the classmates to interact, debate, and build a strong integration process together. I highly recommend this program to anyone interested in learning more about the Integration part of M&A. You will learn a tremendous amount in the time together and meet others tackling similar challenges.
