During the hostile take over activities, drop and sweep tactics talks about a sweep that follows the withdrawal of another buyer’s tender offer usually happens for a listed company and the impact is that target companies share price drops in the process.

Appreciate your thoughts on if it is a privately held co. going thru the hostile sweep tactics.

I would imagine that if the target is privately held company, buying the share at market price is not applicable, therefore, drop and sweep is not as well.
