I’ve been involved in integrations where L&D stood alone, and where it was integrated into HR practices; it’s depended on how robust the organization’s resources have been and how much investment the organization wanted to invest in L&D.
We are currently working to have L&D be an integrated function of the entire M&A process. They will help assist the integration of employees as well as help the creation of communication, learnings, and other offerings to all employees to understand the process of M&A so the entire organization knows what is happening during an active merger process.
