What, in your opinion or experience, would be the Post Merger Integration items that could be started prior to completion of the deal to be finalised shortly after?
I can think of the following deliverables which can be drafted prior to completion of the deal
– Synergy hypothesis validated through due diligence
– Drivers supporting the synergy hypothesis
– High level integration plan
– Integration governance structure
– Tentative time plan
Some more generic activities could include:
– Assemble a cross-functional integration planning team.
– Conduct a cultural assessment for alignment.
– Develop a comprehensive communication plan.
– Identify key synergies and value drivers.
– Evaluate technology and systems compatibility.
– Address regulatory and compliance requirements.
– Prepare for day one readiness and risk management.
