Keeping the 360 degree PMI perspective in mind, do you feel that project lead should have formal project management training?
Yes, I think this project leader needs to attend a few more training courses to be able to lead the members to execute this project smoothly. slope
Yes, a the Project Lead should have a regular meeting. At the start of the PMI, I work to identify my core stakeholder group from each area (ex., finance, marketing, etc.) via my Executive sponsor group. This becomes a core group of people who are included in a weekly (or fortnightly series) and those reports are then shared during an Executive Steering Committee meeting series.
