I am sure you all are following the news about the acquisition of Tweeter by Elon Musk. What kept me wondering is the fact that this merger did not have the traditional M&A flare. Elon owns Tesla, SpaceX, The Boring company which are focused on travel technology; be it on-ground, space or underground. He has proven with the success of these companies that he can accomplish anything. Tweeter clearly did not meet his portfolio. So the question raises as to what really prompted Elon to buy Tweeter.
